Hand-drawn in Illustrator, this work depicts Red Bull’s RB16 Formula 1 car, as used in 2020. The logos on this particular livery are based on the pre-season testing livery.
Charging on from their rapid pace at the end of last year at Abu Dhabi, the RB16 is an evolution of the RB15. One of the key issues that the RB15 had – high susceptibility to wind changes – is believed to be fixed in its successor.
Furthermore, the engine has seen significant gains throughout winter testing, with both Honda and Red Bull stating they are very happy with the improvements that are made. This also pushed the technical team lead by Adrian Newey towards new unchartered territory with regards to the chassis: for the first time in years it is believed that the power of the engine pushed the chassis to its limits and not the other way around.
Everything is set at Red Bull to finally challenge for the world championship, if they manage to hit the ground running this year. Let’s see what happens in 12 months time.
Note: unfortunately, I cannot sell this artwork on RedBubble, due to (in what I believe) an incorrect claim of trademark. Red Bull itself states that you are free to create artwork of their car and sell it, however RedBubble claims I am not allowed to sell it through their medium. As such, I offer to print this artwork myself and sell it to you. Transaction will be handled through secure PayPal.
